It provides level II and IV vocational training courses equivalent to the 9th and 12th grade; education and training courses adults with academic equivalence to basic and secondary levels, and finally, training courses and professional development for active people. EsproMinho is located in the two cities that are district capitals of the Minho Region: Braga and Viana do Castelo. EsproMinho is authorized, by Portuguese Education Ministry to develop educational and vocational training activities (dual system) for young people and adults in different training areas: beauty care – aesthetics, hairdressing and manicure-pedicure; geriatrics, computer science, commerce, sewing and fashion, tourism, management and accounting. The courses confer professional certification of level II, III or IV and academic equivalence to the 9th year of schooling or 12th grade. EsproMinho is located in the two cities that are district capitals of the Minho Region: Braga and Viana do Castelo. About 700 youth and adults trainees are currently attending EsproMinho, spread over the different courses: fashion, Information Technology, tourism, beauty care, hairdressing, business or events management. About 55 people work in the school, of which 15 are non-teaching staff, including education, administrative, training in the context of work and directors. EsproMinho’s Educational Project is based on values such as professionalism, rigor, knowledge, entrepreneurship and leadership. Nowadays the pedagogical practice is reinforced and the success of about 85% of graduates who enter the school and later enter labor market can be explained by the following factors:
1. Highly qualified and motivated students;
2. Training that perfectly meets with the business needs;
3. Educational project based on the professional reality and concept of business; 4. The school is organized as a business;
5. Highlight of formal and non-formal education;
5.1 A strong socio-cultural training, which reinforces the concept of active citizenship and in accordance with the structuring values of democracy and freedom. These are achieved through environmental education, education for health and social education. Such educational dynamics are implemented through different tools such as:
a) Open training / information sessions, developed by technicians and professionals from society and companies that regularly visit the school with the goal of sharing their knowledge and experiences; b) field trips and exchanges that allow trainees to meet business and social realities, so important to their development in these areas. Particularly in the case of national and international exchanges, cultural and social development is achieved through contact with other cultures, the interaction with other individuals of different culture and language etc. From the professional point of view, international initiatives are also developed which allow trainees to get internships in EU companies, contributing decisively to contact with other business, organization and procedures realities; c) participation and entrepreneurship promotion dynamics: the organization and implementation of formal and non- formal activities by the trainees; the Council of Delegates – a consultative body of the Educational Directorate, where delegates elected by the class present and represent the claims and suggestions from peers in order to allow the educative project’s configuration regarding the reality of the trainees, among others, necessities and expectations.
5.2 adequate scientific and technical training regarding the business reality of the region: a) training by certified, competent and motivated professionals, and with their own business experience regarding technical, technological and practical training. This allows trainers to know exactly what the “market” expects of the learners and so can tailor their training for that level of know-how and demand;
b) training in a simulated work context, carried out in school, reinforcing the technical, technological and practical training, bringing scientific rigor of the training level of the practical tasks required of trainees;
c) training in a real work context, or work placement, which consists of training developed in companies where trainees are placed to perform the tasks that are required in terms of its referential training and employment.
6. consolidation of the educational project reaches full potential through two other realities which we consider to be indispensable to the process:
a) excellent physical and instrumental conditions. The school is based on the infrastructures that are appropriate for training and is equipped with all the resources needed to its dynamics; b) continued educational orientation.

Drawing to Health is an NGO that is committed to the well-being of young people. We use visual language to gain insight into what drives them and what stops them. We are also socially involved with the community. In this way we help people with communication problems to provide the help they need. Already during our educational experiences, Drawing to Health feels socially involved and we try to do our bit. For example, we have deepened our research, training and coaching of young talent. We have investigated how we can make society more human, and especially to help people understand better. As a social enterprise we have noticed how much energy it gives us to be in
practice, to touch young people, to inspire and to find solutions together. It is not only social issues that interest us how you request and receive attention for this. We are concerned with the creative (non-formal) approach to social problems. Learn how you can inspire people through creativity, but also tell the whole story. In this way we help young people to earn their place in society. Through training, research, coaching and consultancy, we make a difference in the experience of young people and youth workers. We do this in the commercial world and we also use this experience for social impact (Erasmus+). We make a social impact on a local, national and international level. One of the international forms is participation in cultural projects in which the experience of young people is central. Drawing to Health has a revenue model for commercial parties. Drawing To Health earns money by giving coaching, training and giving advice. We do this on the basis of non-formal means of communication that are related to visual language. We use this visual language of soft skills as a tool, but this is never a goal within our Erasmus + youth projects and training courses. Our profit lies in the further development of young people. We contribute to more understanding and respect for society. We invest our profits in youth and youth workers to give them the opportunity to develop further. An example of this is a youth worker who is at home with a burn-out. By joining Drawing to Health, he is given the opportunity to enrich himself through cultural experiences. We provide support with travel expenses, administration, training and other tasks. Our conditions are on the website. Everyone gets a chance to develop further with us. Whether it is someone who has a lot of relationships, a multicultural background or a social worker who never got further than his own neighborhood in which he grew up. With us everyone gets a chance to develop themselves at their own pace of development.
“Our goal is to give young people the opportunity to develop their skills in leadership, problem solving, active citizenship and integration of different cultures.”

Students come either from the town itself or from the surrounding area and belong to all social classes along with a few foreigners who are perfecly integrated in a small a peaceful community like the one in which the school is located. It promotes the use of the new technologies as well as the improvement of foreign languages through linguistic stages either in Spain or in England and cultural exchanges aimed to widen students’ knowledge and experiences, raise selfconfidence as well as the awarness of being European citizens. Besides being very active in a national network of secondary schools which interact and cooperate in carrying on projects through the use of the new multimedia technologies, the school has joined a regional project called POR: INNOVATEVE SYNERGIES whose main goal is to highlight the perfect tuning between technology and its use in different areas like Medicine, Agriculture and Energy Saving to favour a new relationship between man and nature. The school is also undergoing a sensibilization campaign towards the environment, with the institution of recycling bins and of several days dedicated to cleaning up the school’s courtyard as the result of a progressive sensibilization towards the environment and the positive feedback from an Erasmus+ project on e waste. On a competitive level the school participates to many competions, concering Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Phylosophy and many more, with some students reaching even international levels. One project worthy of note is the one concerning Robotics, trasversal to all courses, in which trained groups of students, every year join the regional and the subsequent national contests with their robots aiming to the international contest which this year will be held in Sydney, Australia. The key persons involved in this project share a long working experience in the different departments they belong to and are used to work in team as they have proved in the different Comenius and Erasmus+ projects they have participated to in the last decade. They consider any project they join as a personal challenge and an opportunity for students who are trained to cooperate. Finally the school offers many extra-curricular courses spanning to almost any subject as we are interested in promoting inclusion and equality of chances, in improving the skills of our students and in stimulating constructive competition. Furthermore, it is our aim to help students develop competences, abilities and knowledge that will help them become tolerant, open-minded European citizens who are motivated towards their own personal development, capable of integrating on the work market and of coping with career changes through lifelong learning. We want to improve the quality of the education process by meeting European standards in terms of the quality of the education programs and the development of key skills for both student and teachers, through collaboration with other institution from Italy and the rest of the European Union and through connecting to the job market. We want to improve the level of our work in educating our students by using the latest teaching learning-evaluating methods, focused on the students, by introducing new methods and a crosscurricular approach by offering: – many courses to acquire Certificates for foreign languages, such as the PET and FIRST for English, the HSK for Chinese, the DELE for Spanish and the DELF and DALF for French. -Ann evergoing course about decoration which has become a distinctive trait of our school: each year new art pieces created by students are added to the hall, making it more unique each year. The school also participates to a yearly competition instituted by the “Franco Marcone” Association in which students offer their works to be sold for Charity. – courses concerning Statistics and Applied Maths, useful for those who are interested in Economy, Engineering and Maths, being the most chosen university directions. -Several courses focus on the Socio-Political aspect of the country, teaching students about the structure of the state, the creation of a company and Human Rights. About the latter, each year selected students join the national competition on Human Rights organized by the Kennedy Foundation in Florence with very positive results.
